"The workshop was fab, all of the children loved it. It was age appropriate, there was a great mix of activities, and it was a good length to keep the children entertained."

Mr. Ansell  Chezan Executive Council Member and Fellow & Examiner UKAdance Deputy Chairman of Dance & Movement Division of S+RA.

“Since the popularity of Bollywood has grown, so to has Bhangra. A lot of this is due to the work of a young man called Anoop Watts.   Anoop researches, writes about and then teaches Bhangra, across the world. He has taught for some of the major Dance Organisations in the UK. In fact, in 2016, he lectured for UKAdance, at the World Famous Winter Gardens, in Blackpool.   Anoop not only teaches the dance moves, but also teaches the history, and where the dance came from. He uses the drums, to play the different rhythms, and then teaches the movements that work with those rhythms. He is at the moment, working on a Technique Book on the subject, for UKAdance. This will be the first written word on Bhagra so that Professional Qualifications can be offered to teachers around the world. From that Amateur Assessments will be developed by Anoop, so that teachers can spread the Bhangra word to the general dancing Public.   I look forward to continue working with Anoop, as his Technique Book develops.”

  • "I am now more aware of the differences between Bollywood, and what I thought was Bhangra"

  • "I found this lecture very interesting, informative and at the same time fun"

"Thank you so much for the workshops you did for the IDTA Area meeting - they were fabulous!! The children of both age groups loved the variety of actions and movements that you put together and the routines you choreographed were brilliant. Everyone came away with a real feel for Bhangra dancing and I know will go back to their own dance schools to show off what they were taught and experiment with putting their own routines together. I would highly recommend anyone looking for workshops with a difference to contact NOW Dance! They certainly keep their classes enthralled and the spectators loving every minute of it.
